Updates
Juhani

Hey,

The 100 forks  and rear part of frames was sent from factory about 1 week ago. And will reach us in mid August.

Here is the production model for the latest Fubi and the one we will start to produce once we get all the frame parts. We have added a quick release instead of the old screw handle.

And a lot of small adjustments which is not visible here on the pictures.

The final frames will only come in white and black. We wanted to test how this blue would look like.

    Blue is perfect.
Great job! As you come closer to a final step in this project, maybe could it be a good thing to ask your backers recall the options they choose for their bike/frame/gear/brake…
We have been waiting for such a long time (probably it appeared much longer for you of course :-)) that such recall could be a very good sign to restore confidence and boost our willing to see, finally, this project succeeds.
Great job guys, resilience, dedication are the keys. You can be proud.
    Best regards

    Bertrand

    Hello Zak
It’s good to see that you eventually could make it after all these disappointments.
I have a question: have you already submitted a production model to testing (e.g. ISO 4210) ? Or have you planned to do so ?

    Hi Zak,

This looks brilliant… You must be so glad to see that all your hard work is coming to fruition. As mentioned by some of the comments on this page, it would be great if you could re-send the order preferences/survey to the backers again on IndieGoGo, as I’m sure for many given the time-span may wish to choose some different options; i.e. the fab looking Gates belt drive for example.

Hoping that you will be able to accommodate this and wishing you many congratulations on reaching this milestone.
Really looking forward to getting my Fubi fixie!!

    Looks great so far! Questions:
    1) Where is the break in the frame located in the rear triangle to add and remove the Gates belt?
    2) What type of fastener is used to secure that break in the frame?
    3) Could you please provide a close up picture of this part of the frame?
    THANKS!

      1) First we was planing to put it on the dropout as you can see here in this post:
Now it is located in the middle of the seat stay. We will post pictures later.
      2) I’m not sure exactly what you mean by that, The brakes are secured by a normal screw. The rear brake is caliper brake.
The front has a disc brake with 2 crews. And also a hole for a caliper brake with one screw. It is just like any other bike.
3)If you mean the breakup point of the rear triangle. Yes we will do that later.
